Refugee Crisis

Displaced people from the minority Yazidi sect, fleeing violence from forces loyal to the Islamic State in Sinjar town, walk towards the Syrian border

As the Syrian refugee crisis grabs more of the media’s attention, so does mankind’s reaction to it.

I have been highly alarmed by the negative responses ravaging social media. Now, its not all bad and to be fair,  as there is still some humanity left in this world, but, after researching the subject extensively, I am disheartened at the level  (in my view) of unrealistic fears and gross hard heartedness against the refugees seeking asylum in thier respective country.
Whatever happened to ‘love thy neighbour’?

There are right now several petitons circulating inviting the public to contact their goverment imploring officials to stop “the invasion” as many western civilisations  call it.
The fears that they are all terrorists and have as their main aim to colonise the world with thier religion which will in the view of Islamaphobes ruin the way of life as we know it!
Are you kidding me?
The argument is made that we should be ‘looking out for our own’.
What does that mean really? I’d like to know.

I applaud the governments of Jordan and Lebanon who have opened their arms to millions; yes millions of refugees, and these countries have limited resources but are doing the best they can.
The UK is looking at taking in a mere 20 thousand, and this has the country up in arms! Seriously?
Oh and shame on all the gulf states who have taken nil. Yep zilch.

You would think that in this day and age that we would all be opening our borders, but alas , it seems the reality is the opposite as now many counties are closing their borders and erecting walls to keep the unwanted out.

These may be simplistic views I’m aware; but consider this and answer honestly.

If you and your family have noting left and your house is in a pile of rubble and your entire country is in ruins; what would you do? And, in edition, how would you like your fellow man to react?
Would you prefer to be left for dead?

I would like to share a post that shows the reality of the current crisis.click here to view.http://www.2st.com.au/pete-brandtman/86787-the-syrian-crisis-explained-in-simple-terms
It may just put things into perceptive.
Whats your view?
